New York の地下鉄は24時間眠らない。
ただ待ちくたびれて先にホームにいた乗客は先に寝込んでしまうので、実は地下鉄も深夜はうたた寝をしていることに気がつかないだけなのだ。
そうして時計の針以外、何も動かない時間がゆっくりと過ぎる。
そのうち思い出したように、遠くから轟音が近づいてきた。
眠そうにしているのは乗客だけでなく、ゆっくりホームに滑り込んでくる地下鉄のヘッドライトまで眠たそうに見える。
扉が閉まると、こうしてたくさんの睡眠を乗せて、朝4時半の地下鉄はホームを後にした。

I can imagine it being really silent in that subway station.
It seems like you were partying til late! I've been
sleeping at 4a.m. lately so I'm on the same boat as you.
The one thing I notice in that picture is the amount of GUM
on the ground!! It almost looks like it part of the "design"
of the concrete. Happy (early) 4th of July!

Yeah I was there at 4am with heavy SLR camera! LOL And yes, I have been partying lately.That's why I am broke!!! LOL
Well I felt I was wasted at the night after party, but I had a gut to take pictures at a station even though I was drunk.

I've been doing good. I haven't updated my blog at all lately.
Instead I use a flickr photo site to update pictures. That site's
really convenient :) So you're partying too much huh? I wish
I can party over on the east coast! I just finished my last
2 classes so I think I am officially finished with college!
It's funny how you were drunk at the station. I'd be scared
to be in a NYC subway station at that time! (I'm just a chicken).
I went to one small BBQ with some Japanese friends. It was good...
I didn't get to see any extravagant fireworks..just small, humble
ones during the drive back to my house. Hope you're surviving
the humid NYC weather.

Congrats for graduation! By the way why you're saying "I think I am officially finished"? You did not attend your graduation year2006?
Yeah I have been a blast lately. I spent most of time with friends during my b-day. Well today is my b-day and there were some rehearsals. Espscially we went to a humongous beer hall in Queens. I believe their max capacity is a thousand!!!
Someday you should see New York's best fireworks , but you have to sit and wait for this couple hours to keep good postion. It's like a countdown in Times Square. Fortunately it's summer and there are many restrooms around. You just can't bring booze :-(
Speaking of weather in NY today, it's really nice today. High temp is 78, breezy and chilly a bit, low humidity. Isn't it perfect for my b-day? I should get drunk tonight!
